MAGGIE NICOLS/LINDSAY COOPER/JOELLE LEANDRE-LIVE AT THE BASTILLE, LP, 1982, UK/FRANCE

As requested by Tom, Live At The Bastille features lovely concatenations of Leandre's swooping, purring and groaning double bass and Ex-Henry Cow bassoonist Lindsay Cooper's alternately starchy, splattery, grunting and trilling bassoon and sopranino sax flurries, both serving as a perfect foil for the non-stop scatting songbird jibber-jabber and off-the-cuff persona adoption of legendary British improv vocal nutter Nichols, who may have reached the peak of her inspired twittering and nattering here.

Great thanks, Eric. Very kind of you to post this wigged-out rarity.
