Warning-st,LP,1982,Germany

Absolutely brilliant electro meets pseudo disco meets synth pop stuff from early 80s.Warning were one hit wonders with "Why can the bodies fly" which appeared in the soundtrack of a famous 80s TV series. Apart from that the whole LP is much enjoyable electro reminding "Alles ist Gut" era DAF mixed possibly with some more rockish elements. It has some grotesque parts such as screams and most of all this "i'm the beast and i'll eat you all" voice, which makes it in some parts sound very funny! Not to mention this ultra kitsch "STAR WARS" like sleeve!Albeit ,i really love this LP.

ha, this is the worst music I have ever heard, but it's totally redeemed by the even worse ESL lyrics. For example:

"I pushed them in a tomb (pronounced TOM-b)
where all the godly mob
dried off, insolently gush
cause everybody was a lush!"

WHY CAN DA BODIEZ FLY?!?! Amazing.

Well, hate this Warning album if you want, but I found it to be awesome and fun. Electro-zeuhl-disco-metal in a horror house, anyone?

Chris

This is AWESOME! Let me break that down. A good point of reference i think is Nash the Slash but no electric violin. Very heavy goth like death disco. The singer has a very early cookie monster effect to his voice. Can't think of an earlier singer to sound like this. Very spacey/synthy at times but always in a dark mysterious way. Definately hilarious in all its seriousness. The ultimate bad lp. So 80's cheesy creepy it's awesome! I love this!

Come on guys! Where's the brilliance. This release is pure crap.

I was so amazed by the awfully bad singer and the undefinable music it made me laugh.

It has nothing to do with electro, disco, synthpop or the likes. It's electronic but that's it.

There's too much really good music out there. Don't waste your time on this :)

smoke a fat blunt with your friends then put this on.it'll blow your mind haha

Wait, someone's complaining about this music because it's "undefinable"? You're at the wrong blog, homie! Personally, I can't get enough drunken, growling, electro space opera insanity. "Electric Eyes" is great too!

If you don't like it then go kick rocks or something else for your fun! Do you only get one download a week or something and you're pissed you blew all your allowance? Some of my very favorite albums of all time I didn't come around to nor understand till many spins later. Keep an open mind like lobotomy!

So, if Jean-Pierre Massiera secretly moved to Hamburg and formed Rammstein in 1982, this would have been the result.

Just found the LP in a euro bin in Utrecht and bought it, thinking that this really ought to have been in my collection much, much sooner.

Weird wild stuff. I discovered this group because of the death metal band pungent stench.
