AKATEN-S/T, CD EP, 1995 + II, CD EP, 1995, JAPAN

Tatsuya Yoshida and Atsushi Tsuyama's dada whiplash looning and gooning under the Akaten moniker has always teetered on the edge of pure schtick (mostly falling over that precipice during their recent appearance as part of Yoshida, Tsuyama and Makoto Kawabata's "Japanese New Music Festival" touring revue), but these more tightly arranged and executed studio versions from some 12 years back offer a much more appealing and fine tuned variant on their conniption fits of inspired nonsense.

First Akhaten has pictures only, no music, when I unzip it.

2nd one is ok.

Anyone else?

Here is how you get the Akaten to extract properly.

01) Make sure the zip file is saved or placed on your desktop

02) Download and install 7zip here.

03) Right-click on the Akaten file on your desktop

04) Go to "7zip"

05) On the sub-menu which pops up, choose "Open Archive"

06) Double-click the "Akaten" file folder

07) Click the "EXTRACT" button (it has a blue-colored horizontal line icon above it) and is located between the "Add" and "Test" buttons.

08) Click "OK"

09) And you're done!!!

10) Success!

after having the same problem as the first commenter I tried using 7-zip as described by the second commenter, but it still didn't work, said it couldn't open the output files for all the .mp3s, so they're in the archive, but can't be opened for some reason. any further suggestions on how to get the .mp3s in this archive to work?

Extract NOT from the Akaten file folder but rather from the s/t folder (which is one level deeper than the Akaten file folder). Then it works.

Akaten - got it now with 7-zip. (I could not open it with tugzip for some reason.)
Many thanks.
