ASMUS TIETCHENS-PHOSPHOR, 3" CD (FROM MONOGRAPHIE BOOK), 1999, GERMANY

Unsettling and wonderfully frosty arrangements for metallically resonant half-melodies and squiggly little synthetic earworms that shift in irregular ellipses above assorted dead landscapes. Another ingenious piece of work from this master of the game, made available only to buyers of the original long-sold-out edition of Tietchens' Monographie book, now newly reissued with a different CD than this one included.

"Phosphor" is an interesting and surprisingly listenable little collection of shorter Tietchens pieces. A couple of the tracks are similar to things he did on "Alpha-Menge", released the following year, but I think "Phosphor" is a bit less off the deep end. Thanks for posting this.

I do hope you'll post more of Tietchens rare releases soon.
