Fela Johnson-st,MLP,1981,USA

Totally unknown and obscure proto minimal synth record from 1981.Synth punk sounding and Gary Newman-ish vocals ,while some more "commercial" (so called italo disco) hints can be found.Should fit perfectly as Liquid Sky soundtrack!

I was just watching "Ghoulies" on late-night tv - the main gang walk into a party and they're cranking "Dancing With A Monster"! I've been loving this record since you posted it and trying to hunt it down so - imagine my surprise and excitement to hear it in "Ghoulies".. Then one guy break-dances to another song called "Surrender" that's credited to Fela Johnson and The Johnsons! More hunting ahead...

This album was one that I purchased on a whim, way back in '82. It was in the clearance bin of a local left-of-center book/record shop. It was one of the best gambles I ever made. My copy is well worn.... nevertheless, I am happy to see Fela getting some online love. Kudos!
