ASSOCIATION-EARWAX, LP, 1970, NETHERLANDS/GERMANY/FRANCE
Alternately loftily airy and corrosively gritty, this stunning jazz rock outing is actually the very rare first album by Nurse With Wound list honorees Association PC before they appended the initials to their moniker, the only distinction being that one Peter Krijnan replaces bassist Siggi Busch on side B. Otherwise, this is very much in the spirit of the acclaimed and rather more well known releases of theirs that follow, though they may well have reached the peak of their exalted powers on these earliest live sessions here, with krautrock guitar god Toto Blanke spitting out searing and serrated arcs of beauty amidst the alternately expansive and thunderous accompaniment of Pierre Courbois' rhythmic flurries and Jasper Van't Hoff's electric piano vamping.

Thanks so much for filling my request!!! Been looking for this one for a mighty long time. The "best blog ever" retains its title!

Many thanks for making this available. Association P.C. and their followup "Pork Pie" was the peak of European Jazzrock, even outdoing almighty Soft Machine. I know them since their first MPS release "Sun Rotation", but never could trace a copy of "Earwax". Why the hell does nobody rerelease all those fine MPS recordings?
Thanks again, Manfred

Wonderful. Thanks once again.
I knew Association PC began without the 'PC' but was not aware they had recorded anything. Many thanks. I look forward to listening to this.
